After a day of pursuit, Tennessee and John Currie have been turned down. Gundy reportedly turned down a 6 year, 42 million dollar offer. That would have been a substantial raise, considering his current salary of 4.2 million.
Despite all of that, Gundy decided to stay home at his alma mater. He confirmed the news with this tweet.

Gundy turned down Tennessee back in 2012. Five years later, it’s the same story.
Credit John Currie for taking the swing here, but it’s back to the drawing board once again. The noise and pressure around him will deservedly increase after the Schiano situation and the miss here on Gundy. Mike Gundy would have satisfied this base for sure, now I’m not sure who would other than Tee Martin. You can check out our full board of candidates here.
