Mark another one down as a swing and a miss for Tennessee and John Currie. Dave Doeren is staying at N.C. State, per multiple reports. John Brice had it first. Other national guys confirmed.
#SEC staff tells me Doeren is expected formally turn down UT. Agent also informs me “Don’t think he wants in that.” Watch Pruitt, Miles, perhaps Sumlin, Leach. Maybe they’ll finally call Tee or Lane?

Tennessee fans won’t be losing any sleep here. Doeren barely has a winning record at N.C. State and currently sits 15-25 in ACC play. He’s proven to be a middle of the road recruiter on top of that. Currie’s interest in Doeren was... strange — to say the least.
Currie will move on from here, but what direction will he go? We’ve heard plenty of noise around Chad Morris and Kevin Steele. Will he now consider Tee Martin? Stay tuned.
