After last weekend’s visit, it was clear Tennessee was back in the driver’s seat for four star athlete Alontae Taylor. He was set to take a visit to Louisville this weekend, but cancelled, planning on coming back to Knoxville once again.
Taylor was planning on announcing his commitment on December 22nd, choosing between Tennessee and Georgia, but he just couldn’t wait any longer.
Taylor recommitted to Tennessee today, announcing it from his Twitter account.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 1000% COMMITTED #PruittEra pic.twitter.com/6KW86Mm6ba
Taylor is a huge in-state get for Jeremy Pruitt and his staff. He will serve as the first commitment of the Pruitt era. He decommited after Butch Jones was fired, but clearly took a liking to the new coaching staff.
The 6-0, 184 pound Taylor likely projects as a wide receiver. Taylor is a native of Manchester, Tennessee, playing for Coffee County High School.
