The IMG product is Pruitt’s first defensive commit.

There’s no doubt that Jeremy Pruitt has an elite defensive background. His stints at Alabama, Georgia and Florida State are proof that Pruitt not only knows how to coach a championship caliber defense, but can recruit defensive players at a high level.

On Monday, Tennessee got the week off to a good start by landing the commitment of three-star defensive lineman Kingston Harris out of IMG Academy in Florida.

Harris is rated as the 70th defensive tackle of the 2018 recruiting cycle and 185th overall player in the state of Florida according to the 247Sports composite.

Following an expected exodus of recruits following the firing of Butch Jones in early November, Jeremy Pruitt and his staff have been working to get the 2018 class back together before the early signing period on Wednesday. It appears right now that their big recruiting weekend has paid off with Harris’ commitment.
