Jaycee Horn — the son of former NFL receiver Joe Horn — has committed to South Carolina. Horn was long rumored to South Carolina, but Tennessee and Alabama stayed in the mix all summer long.
The four star cornerback eventually committed to Tennessee before the season began after the Vols fought hard to stay in the race. Horn decommitted from Tennessee after Butch Jones was fired, making the Gamecocks the obvious destination for Horn once again.
Tonight, he announced his decision on Twitter.

Jeremy Pruitt is still in desperate need of defensive backs at this point. There was some thought that Pruitt’s presence in Knoxville could help Tennessee land Horn once again, but clearly that wasn’t the case.
Tennessee has now thrown their hat into the mix with five star corner Isaac Taylor-Stuart and four star corner Olaijah Griffin. Griffin visited Knoxville this past weekend.
Three star corners Brandon Cross and Tanner Ingle decommitted officially once Pruitt came aboard, but they might not have been what Tennessee’s new staff was looking for.
This staff has some catching up to do, but you have to love how they’re swinging away for the big time guys right off the bat.
