Tennessee Basketball will once again take part in the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. They’ll look for more success this season as they beat a pretty good Kansas State team last year. At the time, that win really boosted the Vols tournament hopes. The season went south late as we know, but these games offer a nice potential boost as you enter February. This time around, it won’t be so easy though.
This season, the Vols will make a trip to Iowa State. The Cyclones have become somewhat of a perennial power in the college basketball landscape, so this should be a stout test smack in the middle of SEC play. It will be the first matchup between the schools since 1977.
The game is set for January 27th.
