Continuing the tradition of fantastic punting at the University of Tennessee, three star punter Skyler DeLong has committed to the Volunteers. DeLong is a consensus top five punter in the various rankings around the web, checking in as high as number two in some places.
Tennessee will have an immediate need for a punter after outstanding senior Trevor Daniel exits following this upcoming season. DeLong will likely be his immediate replacement.
DeLong had interest from both Alabama and Clemson, but decided to give the Vols his word early on. The 6-4, 180 pound punter from South Carolina gives Tennessee their 12th commitment of the 2018 class, as of right now.
