Early Tennessee Gambling Lines Released

The Golden Nugget has released some early lines for their annual games of the year in college football. Tennessee got a few mentions, but the lines aren’t too kind to the Volunteers.

The lines released include games against Florida, LSU, Georgia and Alabama.

Florida is favored by 9.5 against Tennessee in the swamp.

Tennessee is favored at home against Georgia by 1.

Alabama gets a huge number of 24.5, favored over the Vols in Tuscaloosa.

LSU is favored by 7.5 over Tennessee, despite playing in Knoxville.

These all sting on the surface, but these are Tennessee’s four toughest games by a large margin. These are the four games that I personally expect them to drop, so it’s not all that surprising. I do think that the numbers against LSU and Florida are a little steep, however.

The Georgia line is interesting. Playing at home usually nets the home team about 2-3 points, which means this sportsbook thinks the Gators are the far superior team. We’ve heard a lot of Georgia hype this summer, so seeing them as dogs to Tennessee is a bit of a surprise.
