All of the sudden, Tennessee seems covered at the running back position — at least for the 2018 class. A day after a big time commitment from Lyn-J Dixon yesterday, Tennessee has landed a commitment from Anthony Grant today.
Grant is a three star running back from Buford, Georgia. He is the 14th name on Tennessee’s 2018 commitment list at this point. He checks in at 5-11, 195 pounds.
Grant took part in Tennessee’s Orange Carpet Day last weekend in Knoxville. His commitment was needed after Jashaun Corbin and Master Teague opted for Florida State and Ohio State, respectively.
The opportunity to play early has to be a bonus for both Grant and Dixon. John Kelly and Ty Chandler will likely be the only ones in front of these two at this time next season.
Grant Jr. held offers from Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Louisville and Virginia Tech.
