Late in the 3rd period, a familiar noise came across your TV. The party was already on as the Pittsburgh Penguins made one last desperate effort to close the 3-1 gap by pulling their goalie. As Matt Murray skated off the ice, Bridgestone arena erupted in a mass singing of Rocky Top. Check out the video below.

Just literally seconds later, Forsberg connected on a long empty netter to put the game on ice. What a scene.
The series is now even at two games. The Predators will travel back to Pittsburgh for Thursday night’s game five. It’s been really cool to see the entire state get behind the Predators, coming together as one. Hearing Rocky Top as the Predators stepped on the Penguins’ throats last night was just the icing on the cake.
Let’s hope this series comes back to Nashville with a chance for the Predators to clinch the Stanley Cup. Maybe they’ll break out Rocky Top for us one more time.
