A couple of Vols are out there getting it done on the golf course.
After taking the lead in the opening round of the 2017 European Amateur Championship, UT Vol Lorenzo Scalise had some trouble on Friday in his attempt to distance the gap between himself and his fellow competitors.
Scalise’s 3-over 75 score on Thursday sent him back down the rankings to 19th, but that wouldn’t deter him from getting back in the match.
He would go on to record a 7-under 65 to shoot all the way back into a three-way tie for first place.

Scalise went bogey-free again for the day in what amounted to a crucial comeback for the VFL. Scalise’s tee time is set for Saturday, July 1st at 1:10 p.m. GMT from the first tee.

This follows on the heels of a week-old performance for the 2015 TSSAA State Golf Champion in which he tied for fourth place during the AJGA's Under Armour / Scott Stallings Championship.
Cross will begin his enrollment at UT this fall semester.
