Tennessee has given us a partial look at a slightly new look for 2017. The update is in the “template” of the uniform, which comes from Nike. Tennessee is moving from the Nike Mach Speed to the Nike Vapor Untouchable.
You really have to pay attention to notice the changes, but you’ll see a smoother look this year. Here’s a closer look at what a template change means and will look like.

Here’s another look, this time with Jauan Jennings wearing the updated look.
The Tennessee football account also tweeted out this look at the new cleats that they’ll be using for 2017. You’ll notice the checkerboard print at the bottom.

They also released these, which spilled the beans on what looks to be an alternate cleat. It also has the checkerboard bottoms.

It looks like the pants won’t change at all, keeping the stripe into checkerboard look.

We didn’t see any smokey gray alternates today, but I would think those would be in store for an update with the new template. They had a multi-gray pattern to them that lined up with the old mach speed design. We may see a flat, one shade of gray design for this season.
Nike may have to work up a new design for those, which is something to watch for coming down the pike.
