Today’s practice was a memorable one for Eli Wolf. What seems like a normal day at the office turned out to be so much more for the tight end.
Eli Wolf is now on scholarship. Coach Jones mentioned that Wolf had put the necessary weight on to play the tight end position. Butch praised his special teams efforts and said that he creates some matchups for Tennessee offensively.
How he was awarded the scholarship was the story, however. Wolf took part in today’s circle of life drill against his brother Ethan — or so he thought. Butch interrupted the drill and surprised Wolf with a scholarship.
Tennessee Football’s Twitter account was able to capture the whole event. Watch the video below.

I don’t care who you are, that’s got to give you goosebumps. Awesome.
Wolf caught a touchdown in the Orange and White game back in the spring. We’ll see if he becomes a bigger part of the offense in 2017. He should take on a bigger role once his brother graduates following this season.
Good for you, Eli!
