Croom was undrafted following his senior season at Tennessee. He made some noise during draft season at the Tropical Bowl, hauling in two touchdowns during the all-star event. He had a nice opportunity with the Bills, but an injury has halted that progress.
He suffered the injury on Thursday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Croom was spotted in a walking boot after the injury. He was able to make one grab for nine yards last week in his first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The former wide receiver had moved to tight end, hoping to maximize his 6-5, 240+ pound frame. You can’t do anything about injuries, however. It’s one of the ugly truths about this time of year.
Hopefully Jason can land another shot somewhere down the road.
