The AP Poll was released today, signaling the start of the college football season. To no one’s surprise, the Alabama Crimson Tide will roll into the 2017 season as the number one team in the land. Tennessee just barely made the cut at No. 25.
Here’s the complete top 25.
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Florida State
- USC
- Clemson
- Penn State
- Oklahoma
- Washington
- Wisconsin
- Oklahoma State
- Michigan
- Auburn
- LSU
- Stanford
- Georgia
- Louisville
- Florida
- Miami
- South Florida
- Kansas State
- Virginia Tech
- West Virginia
- Texas
- Washington State
- Tennessee
This is right in line with where we’ve viewed Tennessee all offseason. They’re flying under the radar in the SEC East this season — maybe that is the formula that Butch Jones needs to get to Atlanta. Tennessee ended up in a similar spot in the Coaches Poll, which was released earlier this month.
What do you think? Is 25 too low, just right or too high for Tennessee? Let us know in the comments.
