College Basketball National Title Odds: Where does Tennessee and the rest of the SEC stack up?

Long early odds for the Vols.

NCAA Basketball: Tennessee Summer Practice Calvin Mattheis-USA TODAY Sports

We may be just about ready to set sail on the journey of the 2017 college football season, but it won’t be much longer until the Tennessee Volunteers hit the hardwood in November. Head coach Rick Barnes has his most talented and deepest roster yet, at least since he’s been in Knoxville.

The oddsmakers don’t really seem to care, however. Bovada has the Vols listed at +30000, which translates to 300-1. That means if you’re confident enough in Tennessee to cut down the nets in the NCAA Tournament next spring, a ten dollar bet would net you a cool three grand.

Easier said than done, of course.

Tennessee checks in tied with the same odds as Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Georgia is 200-1. South Carolina, Arkansas and Texas A&M are all set at 150-1. Bruce Pearl has Auburn sitting at 100-1, the same odds that Vanderbilt received.

Alabama is at 50-1 while Florida is at 33-1. Missouri — yes Cuonzo Martin’s Missouri Tigers — are tied for the 6th best odds to win the national title at 20-1. This of course stemming from his signing of Michael Porter Jr. and Jontay Porter.

Kentucky comes in at 4th overall with 9-1 odds. Duke, Michigan State and Arizona just edged out the Wildcats.

You can view all the odds here from Bovada.
