On Wednesday, the SEC released their all-conference rosters. Coaches from the conference filled out a first, second and third team. They were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Tennessee didn’t have a single player appear on the first team. They did have one appearance on the second team, along with three on the third team.
Here’s how Tennessee checked in.
2nd team
KR - Evan Berry
3rd team
WR - Jauan Jennings
OL - Jashon Robertson
P - Trevor Daniel
I think we all sort of saw this coming. With so many big names gone from last year’s roster, the element of the unknown alone probably kept Tennessee from landing too many names on the all conference list.
I’d say Darrin Kirkland Jr., Jonathan Kongbo and John Kelly are ones that we could see emerge and appear on post season all-conference teams.
Would you add anyone from Tennessee to the All-SEC teams? Or did they get it right? Let us know!
