The Reese’s Senior Bowl — the premier all-star event of the NFL Draft season — has released their annual watch list for the upcoming college football season. The event is probably the best chance for NFL prospects to improve their stock and perform in front of NFL personnel, outside of the NFL Combine. It’s a chance to show what you can do on the field, but also a chance to meet with teams face to face.
Four Tennessee Volunteers have taken the first step to attending this event. The watchlist for the 2018 Senior bowl included Trevor Daniel, Todd Kelly Jr., Evan Berry and Ethan Wolf.
Joshua Dobbs and Cameron Sutton appeared in the 2017 Senior Bowl before getting drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
One obvious snub to me was senior guard/center Jashon Robertson. I think he’s played well enough to be mentioned here. A strong showing at center this season could obviously still get him to Mobile for Senior Bowl week, but he’s got an uphill climb ahead of him.
You can view the full watchlist here. The Senior Bowl will be held in Mobile, Alabama on January 27th, 2018.
