Tennessee Moves Up And Down In Latest College Football Polls

After a 2-0 start, the Vols are on the move in both the AP and Coaches Poll.

All For Tennessee

Tennessee improved to 2-0 on Saturday with a 42-7 win over Indiana State at Neyland Stadium. The 2-0 start has the Vols once again on the move in both the AP and Coaches polls, but not exactly in the way you might think.

Last week, despite a win over Georgia Tech to start the season, the voters kept Tennessee at #25 in the AP Poll. In the Coaches Poll, Tennessee moved up three spots from #24 to #21 following the win.

However, after week 2 action it was the voters in the Coaches Poll who moved the Vols down two spots to #21, while the AP Poll moved them up two spots to #23 as both polls were released on Sunday afternoon.

Regardless, the latest rankings have set up a top 25 showdown in Gainesville next Saturday as Florida and Tennessee will both begin conference play.
