Both the AP and USA Today Coaches Poll were released on Sunday afternoon following week four action on Saturday.
The top 5 consisting of Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn State, and USC remained the same in both standings despite Penn State and Oklahoma narrowly escaping major upset bids on the road against unranked opponents.
Both Georgia and TCU made a huge jump in the polls after statement wins over 17th ranked Mississippi State and 6th ranked Oklahoma State.
Even though Mississippi State and LSU had lackluster performances on Saturday, the SEC again led the Power 5 conferences with a total of six teams making the cut for the week 5 rankings.
