The Georgia Bulldogs, fresh off a huge blowout win of Mississippi State, have opened as moderate favorites against Tennessee. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are currently favored by seven points, per Bovada.
Tennessee is coming off a less than stellar performance against UMass, but Butch Jones has always found a way to play Georgia tough. He’s 2-2 since arriving in Knoxville, winning in his last two tries.
Georgia is on the rise, however. They look like the clear cut team to beat in the SEC East after throttling a pretty good Mississippi State team and beating Notre Dame on the road.
In Jones’ two shortcomings against Georgia, both have been three point losses. These Tennessee-Georgia games have provided us with some of the wildest finishes in recent memory, including the Jauan Jennings hail mary catch and the Pig Howard fumble touchback in OT.
Does Butch have some more magic ready to roll on Saturday against the Bulldogs?
