After never getting the call from Tennessee about their open head coaching job, USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin appears to be looking for work elsewhere.
According to InsideSoCal.com, Martin talked to the Raiders once again today. Of course with Jon Gruden already signed, sealed and delivered in Oakland, Martin was interviewing for an assistant job on the staff today.
It was reported earlier this week that Martin had interviewed for the Raiders’ head coaching job, which would satisfy the NFL’s Rooney rule. That report is now in question as the NFL announced today that they would be looking into whether or not the Rooney rule was violated.
NFL officially now looking into Raiders’ head coach hiring process and whether they violated the Rooney Rule, per league official.

Martin also talked to LSU about their now filled offensive coordinator position. LSU coach Ed Orgeron addressed that today.
“Tee and I are very good friends. I received a call (to ask) if there was any interest. I told him, although I do respect Tee, and I do believe he’s an excellent offensive coordinator and he’s a next-head-coach somewhere, I have my guy.”
There’s also been some talk of Martin heading to Seattle to join Pete Carrol, connecting those obvious USC dots. We’ll follow this closely as it develops, but it appears that Martin could be headed to the league, likely as a positional coach.
