The Jauan Jennings situation continues to unfold. After being kicked off the team during the last week of the football season, the door remains open for him to return. Jeremy Pruitt said as much last week in his press conference.
Now, according to John Brice and Trey Wallace, Jennings is going to be given a chance to return to the team, but he has certain stipulations to meet.
Both @TreyW_Radio & I have workee on the potential reinstatement of star WR Jauan Jennings to @Vol_Football team. Am told By someone w/ direct knowledge Jennings will have a chance to rejoin #Vols but must adhere to stipulations.

Both @JohnDBrice1 & I have worked on the Jauan Jennings situation for a while now & can confirm Jennings will be reinstated to the team but must abide by certain stipulations. #Tennessee

Wallace’s wording seems a touch more confident than Brice’s, but both are essentially saying the same thing. If Jennings does what he’s being asked to do, he will return to the Tennessee football program.
Jennings was kicked off the team after he posted an Instagram Live video blasting the old coaching staff and Vanderbilt. Jennings missed all of the 2017 season — outside of a quarter against Georgia Tech — with a wrist injury. His absence during his injury was notable.
He was a clear key player for the Vols entering the 2017 season, set to assume the No. 1 receiver role. If things go according to plan, it sounds like Jennings will get one last shot to be that first option in the passing game for the Vols this fall.
