One of the biggest remaining prospects on Tennessee’s wish list right now is four star receiver Jacob Copeland. He’s a top 100 player in this class, checking in at 65th overall in the 247Sports rankings.
Copeland popped up on our radar after Tennessee hired Jeremy Pruitt. It’s clear that there was already a relationship established there. For the 2nd time since Pruitt got the job, Tennessee took an in-home visit with Copeland.

Copeland is set to take two more visits before signing day. He will head to Tuscaloosa this weekend to see Alabama, then he’ll head to Gainesville to see Florida on February 2nd. These two schools are thought of as the main competition for Tennessee.
He visited Knoxville on December 15th.
The Volunteers currently have two four star receivers committed for 2018. Alontae Taylor has signed and enrolled early. Jordan Young committed to Tennessee last week. Copeland isn’t a must have, but it would certainly be nice to fill this roster out with offensive playmakers — something Tennessee doesn’t have a lot of currently.
This one will likely come right down to the wire.
