The Tennessee offense was absolutely brutal in 2017. Whether it was right or not, new offensive coordinator Larry Scott shouldered a lot of the blame for it. Scott took over for Mike DeBord after he left for Indiana after the 2016 season.
Tennessee’s inability to find a quarterback with any consistency, coupled with the injuries that piled up on the offensive line ultimately doomed Scott. He went down with the sinking ship, heading out the door with Butch Jones.
However, Scott has landed on his feet, taking a job with Florida coaching tight ends.

As you probably remember, that was the exact position Scott took with Tennessee back in 2016. Scott will join Charlton Warren at Florida, as both will move from the Tennessee staff to Florida’s. Warren will serve as a defensive assistant coach at Florida this season.
