Jeremy Pruitt is making up for lost time. Well, at least he and his staff are trying. They paid a visit to Joshua Moore last night, pushing for an official visit before national signing day. Now we’re seeing them do the same with Nesta Silvera, a top rated defensive tackle out of Florida.
Apparently, enough of an impression has been made to get Silvera to visit Knoxville. He announced on Twitter that he will pay a visit to Tennessee this weekend, despite being committed to Miami.
Silvera is a four star defensive tackle, checking in at 42nd overall in 247Sports’ rankings of the 2018 class. He’s 6-2, 308 pounds out of Fort Lauderdale.
The connection here is likely Chris Rumph, who was recruiting him at Florida before taking a job at Tennessee. Silvera visited Gainesville last weekend, but will come to Knoxville this weekend. His final visit before national signing day will be to Miami on February 2nd. Ohio State is also in the mix.
Tennessee has defensive tackles Kingston Harris, Greg Emerson and Brant Lawless signed already. D’Andre Litaker is still committed as well. Adding Silvera would give Tennessee an absolutely loaded class on the defensive front.
