It was a big recruiting weekend for everyone around the college football world as programs tried to make those last impressions on players before national signing day on February 7th. Tennessee hosted several top players and saw plenty of targets visiting rivals.
Before we begin, we had some news out of two Tennessee targets this weekend that we already covered.
Coynis Miller shutting things down?
According to Rivals, four star defensive tackle is shutting things down and intends to sign with Auburn, who he remained committed to despite visiting elsewhere. Miller visited Knoxville this weekend, but clearly the Vols didn’t do enough to sway him. Auburn currently holds the 10th ranked class for 2018, according to 247Sports.

Brandon Davis “leaning toward” Tennessee
Tennessee offered yet another cornerback, simply needed numbers at the position. Davis, a three star prospect out of Louisiana is now “leaning towards” Tennessee according to Ryan Callahan after taking a visit to Knoxville this weekend.

Griffin cuts it to four
One of the biggest names left on the board for Tennessee has trimmed it to four schools just several days before national signing day. Five star cornerback Olaijah Griffin took a visit to Alabama this weekend, but is still considering Tennessee, USC and Oregon.
After his OV at Alabama, 5-star CB @OlaijahGriffin tells @AustinPriceless he is down to four schools — Tennessee, USC, Oregon and Bama — and that the Vols remain very much in the mix. "I still feel good about Tennessee." https://t.co/bIM4kFKxkK pic.twitter.com/Ox8kUBe2JW

Eddie Smith visits ‘Bama
And here’s a look at Tennessee target Eddie Smith, decked out in crimson. Smith even got Nick Saban to do the cupid shuffle earlier this week during a visit from the head coach. Smith was recently upgraded to a four star cornerback by 247 Sports.
