Moving up once again.

Tennessee is moving up in the AP poll once again after a 2-0 week. The Volunteers dipped out of conference this weekend, crushing the Iowa State Cyclones as a part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Southeastern Conference won the event as a whole, proving themselves to the college basketball world that they are for real.

The win for Tennessee moved them up to No. 18 in this week’s AP poll, up four spots from their 22 slot that they held last week. Tennessee jumped both Florida and North Carolina in today’s release.

Interestingly enough, Bruce Pearl’s Auburn Tigers made the leap all the way to No. 11 today. Auburn just keeps scoring in bunches and winning basketball games. They currently sit atop the SEC regular season standings.

Kentucky hopped back in at No. 21 after coming back to beat West Virginia on Saturday. The Mountaineers fell all the way to No. 15 with their loss.

Purdue remains at No. 3, far and away Tennessee’s best win of the season so far. Villanova stays put as the No. 1 ranked team in the country for yet another week.
