One area of dire need for the 2018 Volunteers football program is bodies in the secondary, and the Vols added another important piece today.

Three-star DB Brandon Davis out of John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, La. took to twitter today to state his commitment with UT.

It didn’t take Davis long to accept the Vols’ offer. They extended the offer to the 5’11”, 160-pound cornerback on Thursday, making it the talented player’s first official offer from a P5 school.

The move leaves the Vols with 19 commitments for the 2018 class, including 14 early enrollees that put their names on the dotted line during the early signing period.

Davis finished his career at JCCS with 13 career interceptions along with 37 passes defensed, including a career high six interceptions and 27 passes defensed during his senior year. He is also a solid tackler, racking up 86 total tackles - 83 of which were solo tackles.

Davis held offers from Colorado State, South Alabama, and Louisiana-Monroe.
