The nation’s top ranked recruit in the class of 2019 is coming to see Tennessee this weekend, according to Vols’ commit Chris Akporoghene. The future Tennessee offensive lineman declared that Nolan Smith would be joining him on his trip to Knoxville to see Missouri play.
The number one player in the country is coming with me to rocky top this weekend! He wants to see what makes Tennessee so special.

Nolan Smith is the top ranked player in 247’s rankings. The 6-3, 232 pound edge rusher attends the IMG Academy with Akporoghene. The Savannah, Georgia native has been committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since January of 2017.
Tennessee’s running back coach Chris Weinke has a connection to the IMG Academy as a former coach of the program.
It’s worth noting that Georgia has seen their fair share of decommitments lately. Five-star receiver Jadon Haselwood and five-star running back John Emery Jr. being the most notable. Emery actually showed up in Knoxville for a visit during Tennessee’s win over Kentucky.
You can add Nolan Smith to the growing name of high-profile prospects to keep an eye on over the next month as the early signing period looms.
