The Wildcats had a shot to win the SEC East against Georgia on Saturday, but the Bulldogs proved to be too much. Kentucky fell 34-17, coming short of a monumental moment for their football program.
The next goal for Kentucky is ten wins, which seems feasible for the 7-2 Wildcats. They’ll finish up with Tennessee, MTSU and Louisville. A big time bowl game is certainly still on the table for them.
Tennessee, on the other hand, will have to find a way to win two of their next three games just to become bowl eligible. It’s hard to feel very confident about that possibility after their performance against Charlotte.
The Vols will finish up 2018 with Kentucky, Missouri and Vanderbilt.
