Kentucky hasn’t won in Neyland Stadium since 1984. That fact didn’t stop Vegas from from placing the Wildcats as 3.5 point favorites for Saturday’s game in Knoxville against the Vols.
The now 7-2 Wildcats couldn’t quite hang with Georgia on Saturday as the Bulldogs ran away with a 34-17 win and clinched the SEC East. With a division title now off the table, Kentucky will now try to break their losing streak in Neyland, while still shooting for a ten win season.
Tennessee is in a different boat. They must find two wins over the next three weeks to go bowling, which was always the goal for this group. After sleeping through a homecoming matchup against Charlotte, the Vols will have to wake up quickly with the 12th ranked Wildcats coming into town.
This spread is smaller than expected, but Kentucky hasn’t exactly been impressive in their recent games. It took a minor miracle for them to beat Missouri at the buzzer and they were just barely able to scrape by Vanderbilt. That’s not to say Tennessee has looked any better, by the way.
So what do you think? Can the Vols keep it within a field goal? Let us know below.
