Vols Liberty Bowl bound?

SBNation has updated their bowl projections following week ten’s games. Tennessee is still being projected to play in the postseason, despite needing to win two of their next three games to become eligible. While that certainly isn’t impossible, we can’t exactly say it’s likely either after that performance against Charlotte.

They’ll have to upset one of Missouri or Kentucky, then win a toss-up game against Vanderbilt. If they get there, the Liberty Bowl does seem like a logical destination. A matchup against Baylor would mean squaring off against former Vol Jalen Hurd.

Afternoon kicks for the rest of the season

The Vols will be in the afternoon slot for the remaining three games of the football season, the SEC announced yesterday. It’ll be a 3:30 eastern kickoff this week and next week, finishing up with a 4 PM kickoff in Nashville at Vanderbilt to finish things off.

The Kentucky game will be on SEC Network, while the Missouri game will be shown on CBS.

Tennessee has 9th best national title odds to open season

Speaking of basketball, Bovada has placed Tennessee with the 9th best odds to cut down the nets in Minneapolis. The Vols sit at +2800, meaning you’d get a nice 28-1 payout if Tennessee came through for you.

Duke and Kentucky lead the way with the best odds at 5-1. Those two just so happen to be playing tonight live on ESPN, if you need something to watch after the Tennessee game.
