A change of plans.

We just thought we were done with the early signing period.

Things have changed this morning on the Quavaris Crouch front. The highly-ranked athlete will now announce his destination tonight at 6:30 PM eastern, according to 247 Sports. Rivals is now confirming that report.

Crouch was initially planning on signing early and announcing on January 5th on NBC during the All-American Bowl. With the likelihood of his decision being leaked before that, Crouch has decided to go ahead and announce his decision tonight.

Tennessee, Clemson and Michigan are the finalists. Crouch took a surprise visit to Knoxville last weekend, tipping the scales in favor of the Vols, according to 247’s crystal ball projections. Tennessee still holds a commanding lead.

Crouch is the 30th overall player according to Rivals and the 83rd ranked player according to 247 Sports. There was a point in time where Crouch was Rivals’ No. 1 overall player in the 2019 class.

The 6-2, 222 pound athlete will either play running back or outside linebacker at the next level. If he signs with the Vols, my money is on linebacker.
