Tennessee vs. Wake Forest: How to watch and Gamethread

The Vols are looking for win No. 10.

NCAA Basketball: Tennessee at Wake Forest Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are in Knoxville today to complete the second leg of a home and home series with Tennessee. The Vols won this matchup last year by 19 points behind the hot shooting of Jordan Bowden.

Wake sits at 6-3 so far this season, but don’t really have any impressive wins to this point. Davidson, Western Carolina and Charlotte are the latest wins for the Demon Deacons, but their resume is already filled with eyesore losses to Richmond, Houston Baptist and Saint Joseph’s.

They are led once again by junior guard Brandon Childress, who averages 16 points per game. He adds over four assists per contest while shooting nearly 49 percent from three point range. Wake Forest has added a stud freshman in 6-8 Jaylen Hoard. He’s been a steady figure for the Demon Deacons, scoring double figures in each game so far this year. Hoard is averaging 15 points and seven rebounds per game and should give Grant Williams and Kyle Alexander a bit of a challenge today.

Wake Forest checks in at 143rd overall in KenPom’s currently rankings.
