Last month, Tennessee unearthed a hidden gem in receiver Jordan Young. The little known recruit didn’t have a single FBS offer until Jeremy Pruitt’s staff offered. Young visited Tennessee this month and committed shortly after.
The rest of the college football world was playing catch-up on Young, doing their homework and getting out offers. 247 Sports took notice as well, taking him from zero to four stars in their rankings.
That spotlight got other teams on his trail, most notably the Florida State Seminoles. Willie Taggart convinced him to take an official visit to Tallahassee this past weekend. Young sent Tennessee fans into a panic when he updated his Twitter bio to this.

“Wide Receiver at The Florida State University,” the bio read. That sparked many to understandably believe that Young had flipped from Tennessee to Florida State. That doesn’t appear to be the case — yet, at least.
Young tweeted this out after the dust had settled.
I would first like to thank @FSUFootball for hosting me this weekend. Second I would like to announce that I will be off social media, I will not be doing anymore interviews. Any questions, comments, or concern will be addressed Wednesday when I sign. Thank you for the support-JY

According to Florida State’s 247 site, Young has a “final decision” to make on Wednesday, which is national signing day.

So after unearthing this four star gem of a receiver, it appears that Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee has some work to do to keep his commitment. This will be a big storyline to follow over the next couple of days.
