After winning nine of their last ten games and another 2-0 week, the Tennessee Volunteers have climbed to No. 15 in this week’s AP Poll. Tennessee was ranked 15th in last week’s edition.
Blowout wins over LSU and Ole Miss kept the momentum going for the Vols as they notched their third straight win by 20 or more points. This week, the schedule will ramp up once again though. Tennessee will have to take trips to Kentucky and Alabama over the next week. Neither of those games will be easy, but this Vols group is in a groove right now.
Villanova remains the No. 1 team in the land this week as Purdue hangs tight at No. 3. Bruce Pearl has Auburn all the way up to 8th this week after another unblemished week. The Tigers still sit squarely in control of the SEC.
The Florida Gators fell out of the top 25 once again after taking loses to Georgia and Alabama. Kentucky — Tennessee’s next opponent — remains inside the poll, clinging to the No. 24 ranking.
