The Tennessee Volunteers received an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament today, earning the No. 3 seed in the South region. Their opponent will be the Wright State Raiders, who earned a No. 14 seed after winning the Horizon League.
The winner will take on either (6) Miami or (11) Loyola-Chicago.
Wright State and Tennessee will play on Thursday at 12:40 PM Eastern, which will be the second game of the day to tip-off. TruTV will carry the action. You can stream the games live here.
Tennessee has opened in some places as 13.5 point favorites over Wright State. If Tennessee were to win, they would play on Saturday in the round of 32.
This will be Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes’ 23rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament. It will be the first appearance for every player on Tennessee’s current roster, however. This is Tennessee’s 21st appearance in the big dance and their first since 2014.
