Spring practice may be in full swing, but that doesn’t mean recruiting will let up. Tennessee is actually set to host two of the nation’s most talented prospects in the country this weekend.
We have already documented Tennessee’s pursuit of five star athlete and number one overall player (according to Rivals) Quavaris Crouch earlier this year. The 6-2, 225 pound RB/OLB is going to get his second look at Tennessee this weekend.
Joining Crouch will be Darnell Wright — another five star prospect out of West Virginia. Wright is Rivals’ No. 2 overall prospect in the country and No. 1 offensive tackle. That’s quite the visitor list for Pruitt and company.

After getting in late with so much of the top talent left on the board during the 2018 cycle, Jeremy Pruitt and his staff have a full year to make impressions on these guys. And they’re starting right at the top of the board.
Wright is probably the bigger need right now for Tennessee, but let’s be honest. Tennessee needs talent everywhere. With a full season to recruit top talent, this is the cycle that Jeremy Pruitt is going to have to start proving that he can hang with the top teams in the SEC on the trail.
This weekend could go a long way for setting the tone of the 2019 recruiting cycle for the Volunteers.
