Tennessee captured a share of the SEC regular season title tonight with a dramatic come-from-behind win against the Georgia Bulldogs. They found a way down the stretch, despite seeing star forward Grant Williams foul out of the game.
Most of the heavy lifting was done by Admiral Schofield. Watch Thompson-Boling go nuts as he extends the Tennessee lead to three.

It was Tennessee’s first SEC men’s basketball title since 2008 — and the party was on.

First up was cutting down the nets.

... And Admiral Schofield didn’t quite know how it worked.
Admiral Schofield cut the net. Didn’t take any with him. His teammates made him go back and do it again.

Admiral: “I don’t know how this works!”
Barnes addressed the crowed over the PA system, pointing out that his team was picked 13th by the media before the season.
Rick Barnes grabs the mic, tells the crowd, “Not bad for a team picked to finish 13th in the SEC, huh?"

Here’s how the team greeted Barnes in the locker room.

That’s about as happy as you’ll ever see Barnes, but there’s more work to be done. Tennessee will be a No. 2 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament, drawing the winner of LSU — Mississippi State. Tennessee handled both teams rather easily in the regular season, but as we’ve seen — nothing comes easy in this league this year.
