Finally, on March 5th, 2018, the University of Tennessee has removed the picture of Butch Jones from the back of the Neyland Stadium jumbotron. Jones was fired on November 12th last year.

The picture finally comes down just as the Butch Jones-to-Alabama reports surfaced. The 50 year old Jones is expected to join the Alabama coaching staff as an analyst later this week. That likely lit a fire under the University to get his picture off of their football facility.
With Jones now off of the jumbotron, expect former linebacker Al Wilson to replace him, as John Brice initially reported. According to Jimmy Hyams, former tight end Jason Witten will also be on the board.
As we reported last week, former UT stars Al Wilson and Jason Witten will be on the video board near the jumbotron, replacing Butch Jones and Reggie White. A new photo of Gen. Neyland will also be on display. Work began today but might not be completed; depends on weather.

Thankfully, the jumbotron saga has finally drawn to a close.
