Tennessee Recruiting: Four Star tackle includes the Volunteers in his final two

Big decision looming for Morris.

Jeremy Pruitt and his staff did a nice job to piece together a class during the 2018 recruiting cycle. They’re looking for bigger and better things in 2019. One of their first chances to land a commitment from a big time recruit will come in the form of Wanya Morris — a four star tackle out of Loganville, Georgia.

Morris is the 19th overall prospect according to Rivals and is the 40th overall prospect according to 247 Sports. Morris told Rivals.com yesterday that he has trimmed his list down to Auburn and Tennessee.

“It is Auburn and Tennessee and those are my final two schools,” said Morris. “I have visited each school three or four times this year already and I will commit to one of them sometime soon.”

The 6-6, 289 pound tackle was once committed to Florida State. Morris visited Tennessee this past weekend for Junior Day festivities. Morris told Rivals that he may take one more visit to each school before making a decision, but “he’s ready to get this over with and choose a school.”

Morris would easily rank as Tennessee highest rated commit to this point. Tennessee already has one commit for the 2019 cycle on the offensive line from Jackson Lampley. Adding Morris would be a massive get and a really good momentum builder heading into the spring.
