Tennessee added graduate-transfer quarterback Keller Chryst to the mix last week, now they’re set to add another arm. They received a commitment from Jacob Cendoya today as a preferred walk-on. Cendoya is a part of the 2018 class.
Had an awesome visit today at The University of Tennessee! Thank you Coach Helton, Coach Fitzgerald, Coach Johnson and @dhughes234! #GoVols pic.twitter.com/AoxGEZqA9B

Cendoya visited Tennessee this past weekend. He turned down scholarship offers from ETSU, The Citadel, Savannah State and Jacksonville University to play for the Volunteers. Cendoya was once committed to Troy to play baseball.
He checks in at 6-1, 190 pounds. Cendoya is out of Alpharetta, Georgia. He joins Bart Harris as the second preferred walk-on quarterback to commit to Tennessee.
Tennessee currently has Jarrett Guarantano and Will McBride on the roster. Freshman JT Shrout will join them, along with Keller Chryst in June. So at least from a numbers standpoint, Tennessee appears to be set at quarterback. We’ll see what kind of progress Tyson Helton can make with these passers in year one.
