Tennessee barely escaped Friday’s matchup with Mississippi State, winning 62-59. Surviving and advancing is the name of the game this time of year, but you could hardly be excited with the Volunteers’ offensive performance on Friday night. They’ll have to clean that up in a hurry for Saturday.
Arkansas ran away with their game against Florida, blowing the game open in the second half. The Razorbacks are 23-10 and already hold a head to head win against Tennessee this season. That was one that the Volunteers let slip away, losing in overtime after Grant Williams fouled out.
Alabama and Kentucky will be the matchup on the other side of the bracket. Each won going away on Friday, with Alabama dismantling top-seeded Auburn and Kentucky taking care of Georgia.
