The 6-2, 180 pound receiver prospect checks in as a four-star prospect. He is the number one player in the state of Tennessee, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Wilhoite comes from Franklin Road Academy, just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
The Vols may be the leader in crystal ball projections for Wilhoite, but they’re going to have to fend off college football’s elite programs to lock him up. Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State have all had Wilhoite in for visits so far.
Wilhoite caught 67 passes for 1,067 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for FRA. He will be heading into his senior season this fall.
