The event of the spring is here. We will get our first look at the Jeremy Pruitt-era Tennessee Volunteers in a game setting as the Vols take part in the annual Orange and White game. This will be the culmination of spring football practices, which have been going on since March 21st.
We will get our first look at Tennessee’s new look defense, which should feature a 3-4 base look that we haven’t seen in Knoxville in some time. We’ll also get our first look at Tyson Helton’s offense, along with a progress report of sorts on quarterbacks Jarrett Guarantano and Will McBride.
“My challenge is for our fan base,” Pruitt said last week. “The first two scrimmages aren’t open, but the spring game obviously is. The best way to put them in an adverse situation is to show up. That presence will create pressure which will prepare them for next season.”
