The Tennessee Volunteers are starting to heat up on the recruiting trail. They were able to pick up two commitments last week, now they’ve added another this week. LeDarrius Cox announced his commitment to Tennessee today on Twitter, giving the Vols their 4th known commitment of the 2019 cycle.

Cox is a 6-4, 310 pound three-star defensive tackle out of Mobile, Alabama. He is the 35th ranked defensive tackle and the 500th overall player, according to 247 Sports.

He held offers from Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and plenty of others. Cox attended junior day in Knoxville back on March 3rd.

It’s another win for Tennessee inside the state of Alabama. It’s the second commitment out of Alabama in the span of a week for the Vols. Those relationships and high school ties stemming from Jeremy Pruitt and his staff are already paying some dividends for Tennessee early on.
