Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee Volunteers are starting to get going on the recruiting trail. Back to back wins over Auburn for five-star tackle Wanya Morris and four-star receiver Ramel Keyton have momentum on the Vols’ side.
They’re looking to keep that momentum over the summer months as they try to keep the top in-state talent within the borders. One of their biggest targets in Tennessee is Lance Wilhoite — a four star receiver out of Franklin Road Academy near Nashville.
Wilhoite announced yesterday that he would be committing in late July, creating a big moment for Tennessee fans to look forward to.
I will be Committing at the end of July. There is no set date yet, but I’ll release it as soon as my family and I decide‼️

The Vols currently hold a lead in crystal ball projections, according to 247 Sports. The 6-2 receiver has offers from Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State and Louisville, among plenty of others. Keeping him in the state of Tennessee would be another big win for Pruitt.
Wilhoite is looking to build on a 2017 season that saw him accumulate over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior. He will enter his senior season as the top player in the state, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
