A new name to monitor.

Over the weekend, Tennessee extended a new offer to Jaylen Ellis, a receiver out of Texas. The current three-star prospect tweeted out the news on Friday.

The 6-0, 180 pound receiver has been committed to Baylor since June of last year. He is the 81st ranked receiver in the country and the 75th ranked player in the state of Texas, according to 247Sports.

Ellis is a part of the 2019 class. He put up 1,248 yards and 14 touchdowns on just 56 catches as a junior last season for Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock.

Ellis has seen his interest spike in the last month. Offers have come in from Oregon, TCU, Michigan and now Tennessee. After the Vols extended their offer, Ellis picked up another offer from Texas, who figures to play a big role in Ellis’ equation.

The longtime Baylor commit now has some options to weigh. We’ll see if the Bears can hold off the field.
