To fans around the SEC, the name Tagovailoa conjures up images of Alabama’s thrilling overtime win over Georgia in last season’s national championship game. And while the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, it’s one Vols fans will want to keep an eye on-especially this weekend.
According to John Brice of GridironNow.com, Jeremy Pruitt and company are set to continue the trend of the nation’s top prospects visiting Rocky Top this weekend and among the names they will be hosting is Taulia Tagovailoa.
So @Vol_Football is flat-out doing work on the recruiting trail. Had 6-8 QBs on campus last weekend in a special invite-only setting, in addition to linemen camp & 7on7. Now am told they expect to host @tauliaa12 through the weekend. #Vols #SEC

Tagovailoa is currently rated as a 4-star prospect according to 247 Sports composite rankings out of Thompson High School in Alabaster, AL. Like his brother Tua, whose late-game heroics in that national title game has caused him to be one of the hottest names heading into the 2018 season, Taulia is also committed to play for Nick Saban.
While prying the No. 7 pro style quarterback of the 2019 class away from the Crimson Tide will be a tall order, the Vols will have him back on campus for the second time in the last six months. He first visited back in February.
With no quarterbacks currently committed in Tennessee’s 2019 class, you can expect Pruitt and the staff to continue to try and make an impression on the rising star. At the very least, having a Tagovailoa vs Tagovailoa match up on the Third Saturday in October would make for some intriguing storylines down the road.
